Ayurveda is an ancient Indian system of medicine focused on balancing bodily energies, known as doshas, through natural lifestyle practices, diet, and herbal remedies. In postpartum care, it treats the mother with extreme tenderness and intentional practices to bring balance to the body systems.

In Ayurvedic medicine, there’s a saying that goes, “Forty Days for Forty Years.”

Essentially, this means that what the new mother does during her first 40 days postpartum will define the next 40 years of her life, specifically her health. That’s why many consider the first 40 days postpartum to be the fourth trimester.

I deeply honor the ancient Indian lineages of Ayurveda that have informed my learning. I am dedicated to practicing this sacred work with the utmost care, humility, and cultural integrity.

I had the gift to grow up the as youngest of three sisters. Maternal and matriarchal care has always been a strong, grounding presence in my life. I believe it to be the glue of humanity.

My path into birth work was paved by 6+ years of supporting families with young children, where I had the profound privilege of caring for multiple babies and new mothers from their very first days on earth. Witnessing my sister birth her twin sons in 2022 truly sealed my passion and path into the world of birth work.

I have been a Certified Yoga teacher since 2023 which deeply informs my work in connection to our felt sense of being. I began my studies in postpartum care with Rachelle Garcia Seliga of INNATE traditions in 2024 and received my postpartum doula certification in 2026. Continuing my passion honoring food as medicine, I continue to study Ayurveda through the Ayur-Mama Postpartum school.

Outside of holding families, I love preparing nourishing meals for my loved ones, practicing yoga, spending time with my family and friends, and spending time being active outside. I am profoundly in love with life and deeply honored to guide families through their most transformative transitions.
